Amendment 79
It codifies abortion at any stage of the
pregnancy, for any reason, and without any protection for women in our State Constitution. Currently, Colorado has no minimum health standards for abortion clinics. Regulations or inspections for abortion clinics are also nonexistent in our State.
It officially eliminates the only abortion restriction enforced in Colorado – parental notification. This means that our teenage children may confront an unplanned pregnancy and abortion on their own without any parental involvement. It also makes it easier for child sex traffickers to transport a pregnant minor to have an abortion and go unreported.
It effectively removes the 1984 Colorado Amendment 3 that prohibits the use of public funds for abortions. This means that Colorado taxpayers will be forced to cover the costs of abortions whether performed on Colorado residents or non-residents. If Amendment 79 passes, it will result in millions of dollars in annual costs to Colorado taxpayers.

Additionally, our desire is to help individuals who are struggling with unplanned or challenging pregnancy and pregnancy related-issues such as domestic violence, sexual abuse, financial problems, parenting issues, housing, adoption,, etc. by connecting individuals with a list of hundreds of free or low-cost resources.
